The tour starts and ends in Labuan Bajo, which will be easier if your hotel is in Labuan Bajo as well. Another alternative is that you can start the tour right after you’ve arrived at the airport of Labuan Bajo.

A professional driver and guide will pick you up and drop you off at the airport so you don’t need to extend your night in Labuan Bajo. Other than seeing some Komodo dragons on the island, the team will take you to one of the best snorkeling spots in the world.

Inclusions

By purchasing the tour package, you will get a service that includes renting a local wooden boat for three days, spending two nights on the boat, transfer by using an air-conditioned car, and an experienced tour guide. Other than that, you don’t need to bring your snorkeling gear because we’ve prepared one for you, meals on the boat, bottled water, coffee breaks, and snacks on the boat. All taxes are included.

Day #1 Labuan Bajo – Kelor Island / Menjerite – Rinca Island – Kalong Rinca Island

The first day of your Komodo Dragon Island Tour will be about the trip from Labuan Bajo to Rinca Island. A driver with a professional tour guide skill will pick you up at the hotel. In case you prefer to stay outside Labuan Bajo, the driver will pick you up at the airport. We highly recommend you to take the first flight so we can start the journey as soon as possible.

 

The driver will take you directly to the harbor to catch a boat that will transfer you to Kelor Island or Menjerite. This is a perfect place to snorkel or swim or simply relax to enjoy the entire scene. Later, you will head to Rinca Island and spend the afternoon for trekking. This is your chance to find some Komodo dragons in the wildlife along with other creatures.

Right after the afternoon trekking, we will move to the Kalong Island Komodo by using the boat for one more time. On this island, you will find a bunch of fruit bats flying around the mangrove forest. Also, you will witness the stunning sunset. Lunch and dinner are served on the boat as well as where you will spend the night.

Day #2 Padar Island – Pink Beach – Komodo Island

Along the way to get to the Padar Island Komodo National Park, breakfast will be served on the boat. Once we landed on Padar Island, we will start the trekking to rich the hilltop. Here you can witness how astonishing the view of the entire Komodo National Park from above.

We later will head to the Pink Beach Komodo National Park and snorkel around before starting the afternoon trekking. Afternoon trekking is directly done on Komodo Island. As has been mentioned earlier, lunch and dinner will be served on the boat. The boat will boat around the island to spend the night.

Day #3 Taka Makassar / Manta Point – Siaba Island – Kanawa Island – Labuan Bajo

The last day of the tour is going to be fun as well. After finishing your breakfast, we will head to Manta Point/Taka Makassar for snorkeling. Here you will find some Manta rays swimming around. However, we don’t guarantee for you to see them. You’ll meet them if you’re lucky enough though.

The next stop is Siaba Island for off-shore snorkeling. Some turtles are living on this island and you can meet them if the luck is with you. After that, we will go to the Kanawa for another snorkeling. You can simply relax or sunbathe if you want to though. This is the last stop we’ve made before we head to Labuan Bajo.

Once you’ve reached the harbor at Labuan Bajo, a driver will pick you up and drop you to the hotel. After the entire tour on the Island of Komodo, you can also take off to the next destination because our driver will drop you at the airport if you want to. In case this is the scenario, we recommend you to take the last flight after 4 pm.

Exclusions

If you plan to stay in a hotel in Labuan Bajo, you need to pay that on your own. Entrance fees, drinks personal expenses, tips, and insurance are on you. Thus, make sure you find the information right about the inclusions and exclusions before buying a holiday package.

What to bring

We highly recommend you to bring these things before starting the journey. Don’t forget to bring your long pants, long-sleeved shirts, swimming suits, some clean towels, bug spray, sunscreen, proper shoes, flashlight, raincoat (during the rainy season), and jackets. You will find a bunch of interesting views when you are out there. Bringing a camera will be highly recommended.

Also, don’t forget to bring your IDR cash because you need it along with a copy of your identity. Feel free to bring your necessities. This trip to Komodo Island will be one of those unforgettable holiday memories.
